Since established in 1982, the University of Bengkulu is committed to being a center for the advancement of sciences and technology which promotes sustainable development. Appropriately, the University of Bengkulu presents excellent and conducive academic atmosphere for teaching and learning process in order to produce qualified and competitive graduates. We also present qualified services for student, community, government, and industries. Our main teaching program, undergraduate or bachelor program is designed to respond to emerging requirements: for more choices and fuller teaching methodology, combined with demonstrable strong quality control. We are now explicitly benchmarking ourselves against comparable universities, nationally and internationally. Since 1999, we developed vocational program, diploma program and master program in some field of studies to respond to an astonishing demand for specific skill and advance study from community, government, and industries.

University of Bengkulu is awarded by the Ministry of National Education as one of 50 Promising Indonesian Universities out of more than 3.100 universities in Indonesia.
